A child of the suburbs, I fled for the bright lights of NYC where, once upon a time, I held a variety of titles, including: playwright, copywriter at Oxford University Press, dresser for a Broadway show (very short-lived--I can barely assemble my own wardrobe). After a move to the Berkshires, in western Massachusetts, I published three Young Adult novels with HarperCollins. I am now writing plays, teaching, and, with my husband, enjoying the company of my three children.
I write about the collateral damage of life: existential dread, concealed truth, longing for connection, and the inevitability of being alone. By plays' end, something alters; a lifetime of assumptions shift, sometimes incrementally, sometimes seismically.
